Pros/Cons of transferring Win 8.1 from new Dell on a HDD to a new SSD?

I purchased a New Dell 8700 with Win 8.1 on HDD, I have read that SSD is much faster and 'better', so I purchased a 240 SSD. My goal is to have the SSD as the primary drive holding Win 8.1, the Adobe suite and a game I like playing called Everquest.
