Light map lines

I have a problem with most of my maps. I now have a hard time seeing the lines of the map let alone the titles. Is there a setting problem that I can change? Any helpful ideas would be appreciated.

Map-wise, don't think so, not without going in and changing colour settings.

An easy fix is to get a map window mod from www.eqinterface.com that darkens the map background, or to darken the base files on your own.

The reason the grid lines on the map are light colored is so they show up better when the background of the map is made transparent so you can see thru it. Makes the map an over-lay instead of blocking out the screen. Makes navigating thru the game much easier if you can see thru the map window.

Try it you might like it. Just right click the title bar of the map window and play with the bacground transparency / fade setting of the map.
