What is this website?

Mapfiend is a website where you can view, upload and download maps for Sony's Everquest MMORPG. You can view all of the maps in our online view. You can make a new map and up load it if you want. You can download the available maps individually or in a map pack. You can rate each map and leave comments (If you're logged in).

How do I download maps from this site?

On the main page is a block titled Everquest. In that block is a Maps menu that lists 3 options, > Map List > Download maps > Upload Maps If you want to download full pack of maps, select "Download Maps" from this menu. Now you will be on a page that lists the different Map Packs. Each option is a different pack. ALL Maps contains the currently top ranked map for each zone. Make sure to rate your favorite! All of the other options are for individual expansions. Select the pack you want and click the download button. A window will pop up and check the save file button. Make sure you save it somewhere that you can find it again. Once the file is saved, You can doubleclick it your extraction software will open up. You need to extract all of the files to the maps folder inside of your Everquest folder. If you want to download individual maps, you would go to the Map List page, select the map you want to view. When you find one that you like, click the download icon. Layer 1 is typically the map itself, layer 2 is where the labels are stored and layer 3 are the gridlines. You can download Layer 1 ,2, 3, or combined.

How do I upload a map?

EASY. Click the "Upload Maps" button. Browse to the map you want to upload. Put in the name of the person you want to have credit for the map. Click the Upload button and the server does the reset.
