On any event there should be a mechanic on a raid that happens as soon as the win criteria is met the following takes place.

All adds that have spawned as part of a script despawn.
If the script happens to be the sole purpose of the zone (IE not an instance with multiple events) any zone trash instantly despawn.
Any negative effects on a player in the raid, dots, dt counters etc, go away.

1. Kill them, don't kite them. If you find yourself with a bunch of adds at the end of an event that you don't want there, consider killing them DURING the event. If we don't intend for you to kill them, we should be depoping them. If we mean for you to defeat them... maybe we should power them up if they are still alive at the end of the event to make it clear that they are meant to be killed.

2. No clue what you mean here. Sorry. If the script happens to be the sole purpose of the event? I don't believe in zone trash either. Stuff should be hard and meaningful to the event. If something feels like trash it shouldn't be there or it needs to be challenging.

3. Why? You get a negative effect so you think burning down the boss before that effect kills you should be the answer? Nah, instead, deal with the effect.
