Ah, its another bloody 'who cares what content has been balanced around or for how long? It offends our delecate sensibilities and has to go!' nerf http://www.mapfiend.net/eq/images/smilies/9d71f0541cff0a302a0309c5079e8dee.gif

Eli, you have done some great work, but I wish you would get off these knee jerk reaction style nerfs. EQ survived just fine with the snare being able to snare some things otherwise non-snarable. "Never should have worked in the first place' is fine if you catch it close to when it happens. But when events are tested using an ability and go through assuming it is in place, and stand as is for months or years, why change it?

You do realize you just (again) nerfed everyone still working on HoT, right? Not to mention all VoA raid testing would have been done assuming this ability was in place as it was? I guess that is irrelevant though since how well raids actually work or how the game actually plays out isn't important when compared to dev's (often revised) intent......

No.. this was a wholesale team examination of things that were broken. In this case, all spells that had effects that were bypassing immunities were changed. This includes NPC spells that were bypassing player-based immunities as well.

What content do you think was balanced around Wizards having a broken snare spell? There isn't one encounter in the game that was balanced around this single spell.
