While I agree with the sentiment, and we've actually tried doing that in the past, the number of CS issues generated by "backwards" items is surprisingly high, and adversely affects the resolution of actual problems. It was eye-opening to me as well.

As for the suggestion of an ornamentation, we could use an ornamentation to limit a pri/sec item to sec only, but we can't use one to change a pri only to sec only.

Would creating another version of the item that is secondary usable and putting it on the vendor then giving the 2 items their own lore group be a usable solution? I'm assuming of course that using a solution like that the backwards claw problem could be fixed. If it can't even by creating a new item, disregard this post.
