It's not a bug actually that she despawns. If you kill her before she casts the spell.. you get the loot. If she succeeds in casting the spell, she is completely burned to cinder.
The bug is in the cast time on the spell. It SHOULD have been 15 seconds. Not really sure how it got changed, since it was definitely 15 seconds in beta.
